Graph Tree Drag & Drop
Would anyone else besides me be interested in having the graph trees be sortable by Drag & Drop instead of the seemingly-archaic Up&Down arrows? Having to click 20 times to relocate a single line item in the graph tree is starting to feel Really Old to me.
I've snagged some of the generated HTML code of the graph tree, and began to implement a JQuery example I found into it, and have a slightly-working version of a drag-and-drop graph tree... but could use some help with it.
If anyone knows JQuery, and the internals of Cacti, I'd appreciate the assistance!
I can also provide a link to my example code, if anyone is interested.

Re: Graph Tree Drag & Drop
This will be available with one of the next versions. Currently it is NOT part of 089 ...

Great, I'm very glad to hear that!
I checked the road map before posting, and the forum (searches for drag and drop, etc), but didn't see mention of this.
Now that I look at the Road Map (http://cacti.net/roadmap.php), I see that it hasn't been updated for over a year (last change 2011-09-11)!

Re: Graph Tree Drag & Drop
Yeah - that's the draback between coding and talking about possible features. But as we now manage d&d, it may help us in various places

Well, the code is currently on version 0.88b.shoko wrote:Hey ,

Gandalf indicated that the Drag & Drop "feature" will NOT be included in v0.89.
So, it seems like it's still quite a ways out, both in revisions, and also in time (as unfortunate as that is).
I offered to help integrate D&D as a patch, but didn't get much in the way of volunteers for supporting me in that mission.

Re: Graph Tree Drag & Drop
Is there any way to easily preview the DnD functionality in 0.8.9? I checked out the last stream and the Default Tree on 'Graph Tree' link just produces a blank page.
I've created a graph tree drag and drop feature as a plugin, which I expect to release imminently (pending arrival of the built-in version.) I've made certain assumptions about operation, and I'd like to compare notes.
