One value of output custom script is graph and other are Nan

Hi all,

I'm newbie on Cacti and I met a little problem with a custom template.

In order to understand how to create custom script, I have do a simple script to get information on Tomcat, I know that template exists in its forum but I would like to test by myself for better understanding.

I have create a script which is deployed on folder :
/usr/local/cacti/scripts/

This scripts is called :
tomcatJMXStats.php

It can be called to get information about JVM memory by used this parameters :
login password ip port connector mem (for memory)

When i call the script on server I get this output :
max:892928000 total:302972928 free:270236576

But the result is i have in my graph value for total of memory but for max and free I have all time Nan value in the same graph.

I would like to know if there is somes rules when you have a multiple output to respect.

In the Data Input Methods "Output Fields", did you forget to check "Update RRD File" for all of the items?

Hi,

Yes, All of them are marked as selected on colunm Update RRA.

That it's strange is I have just applied the same graph to another host and I have some value for it.

Another think strange, i can see my graph with value when i go to devices, select my host, graph list and select it.

But if i go to Menu graph on the top of the interface and go to the goog tree for selecting my host, i have for the same graph, a graph with no value.

were you working on the graph or data template after you created it for the first device? if so, cacti will not modify existing *.rrd files. Try deleting the graph(s) for the first device and recreate them.
