snmp error

Post by AlexMikhailovskiy »

Hi.
I installed cacti 0.8.7i
I added microwave Ericsson, and this device is working correctly,
after them i tried added microwave Huawei, but cacti show:
SNMP Information
SNMP error
Ping Results
ICMP Ping Success (7.803 ms)

I run from the command line command snmpwalk -v 2c .... and microwave Huawei is responding.
I can not understand, what is wrong i configured.
Can anybody help me?

P.S. sorry for my bad English...

If you just installed, then upgrade to 0.8.8c which is the current release.

if you snmpwalk the system mib, does it respond?
Try having cacti use snmpv1?
try lowering the number of OIDs per request?

Where did you obtain such an outdated version of Cacti from?

From the cacti server, run the following against the problem device. Do you get a response?

Code: Select all

snmpwalk -v 1 -c public IPADDRESS .1.3.6.1.2.1.1
