In particular worth mentioning I've added a new set of RRA's, set 'C' that won't product rrd files as large as the 'B' set. You can use these or select your own when you import but I would recommend them if use 1 minute polling.
I'm sorry for the dumb question, can I update my existing hosts with this new version and somehow shrink my rrd's or should I create new hosts?

I think you can modify rrds but probably more trouble than it's worth. I would create new graphs. By the way if you import these over the top of the existing ones it will probably replace meaning your rrds will stop updating anyway.

Hi,

i'm currently graphing data on a Viprion F5 vCMP 11.2 HF2 Box.
Cacti installation is based on Version 0.8.8a.

All the graphs are running smoothly but pool member host statistics.
When i query the data tree that should include pool member IP Host, the HEX string value is reported as empty:

Here below a brief excerpt:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c community f5boxname .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.5.4.3.1.3

<Cut>

Given what above i'm not able to retrieve IP address value and, just in case, convert it to Decimal dotted notation and include this information on the graphs.
Graphs regarding member statistics are quite useless because i'm not able to recognize which is the subject host for the metrics.

Not sure if i'm missing something or if the box is not reporting proper value.

Thanks in advance for any help on the topic.

Kind regards

cacti v0.8.8a
BIG-IP 10.2.4

Hi

Firstly thanks to the OP for taking the time to create and share these templates. I used to run the V9 templates when we ran that version of code for some time without issue and found them very useful. We have since migrated to v10 and I have attempted to import the new templates but i'm having a few problems, hopefully somebody may be able to help......

My virtual server graphs are resulting in nan. I have checked the cacti.log file and have the error....

dsname: ltm_vs_pkts_pv_out, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.2.3.1.22..1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.14.119.119.119.46.108.106.109.117.46.97.99.46.117.107, output: U

I have pulled the mibs from our bigip unit and .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.2.3.1.22 corresponds to ltmVirtualServStatPvaPktsOut which I believe to be correct as i'm trying to graph bigip - vs - packets.

1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.14.119.119.119.46.108.106.109.117.46.97.99.46.117.107 corresponds to one of our virtual servers.

When I run snmpget via command line I get:
9.46.108.106.109.117.46.97.99.46.117.107: (Sub-id not found: enterprises -> .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.14.119.119.119.46.108.106.109.117.46.97.99.46.117.107)

I'm hoping somebody here may be able to advise?

Thanks

I'm also seeing this problem. Have you been able to find a solution?

Hi everyone. Loving the v10 templates.

Are there v11 templates available, or have I missed something in the thread? We are running bang up to date F5 v11.0 so would any appreciate any updates available.

Many thanks in advance.

I would advise v10 works fine on 0.8.8b, but you need to apply this patch as the thumbnails will show no graphs for TMM Memory and CPU, but if you click the non graph thumbnail you will see graphs: http://bugs.cacti.net/view.php?id=2379

Thanks for wonderful work on this template. I love it.

one quick question - Does anyone know how to change Hex IP address for pool servers to decimal?

Sorry if this might seem like a stupid question but is their a way to import both v9 and v10.
The SNMP Queries are named the same, but use different OID's.
I have 4 F5 systems all on v9 but one set is older and only works with v9 and the other is v9 but only seems to work with the v10 queries.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Excellent templates thanks, works a treat on 0.8.8b on Centos x86_64. F5 LTM's running the latest stable V11 LTM software as well.

Hello Everyone,

I'm having the same problem as algamb in that my LTM VS graphs are all showing NaN. For instance, if I take a look at one of my data sources with the data template of "F5 BigIP - LTM VS - Connection Rate", I see a data source path (looks fine), and some custom data as follows:

Output Type ID: F5 BigIP - VS - Connection Rate (yup, this is what I want.)
Index Value: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.27.47.67.111.109.109.111.110.47.118.115.45.100.111.119.110.108.111.97.100.48.49.95.72.84.84.80.83
Index Type: ltmVSIndex (hmmm...)

So I walk the tree and find that the above OID corresponds to the name of my virtual server:
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.29.47.67.111.109.109.111.110.47.105.110.116.118.115.45.100.111.119.110.108.111.97.100.48.49.95.72.84.84.80 = STRING: "/Common/my-http-virtual-server"

I've tried changing the Index Type to "ltmVSName", but this didn't appear to help my NaN issue. When I check the Cacti Log I see the following error messages flooding the log on every polling interval:

06/12/2014 11:57:13 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[171] ERROR: Problems parsing Multi SNMP OID! (oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.2.3.1.26..1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.1.40.47.67.111.109.109.111.110.47.105.110.116.118.115.45.75.79.82.80.95.101.120.116.114.97.110.101.116.45.100.101.109.111.48.49.95.72.84.84.80.83), Set MAX_OIDS to 1 for this host to isolate bad OID

I've tried following the instructions and set my MAX_OIDS to 1 for this host (i.e. device) but didn't get any closer to isolating the bad OID. I've also tried increasing the MAX_OIDS for this host to 100 with no change either. Did you resolve your issue algamb? If so, how?

We added 3 APM related graph templates to our cacti setup that we thought we would share...

Mandatory screenshots:

2.PNG
2.PNG (18.29 KiB) Viewed 5222 times

Graph Templates:
cacti_graph_template_f5_bigip_-_apm.zip
(9.88 KiB) Downloaded 382 times
All these are global stats for APM, as we are not experienced enough with cacti to deal with SNMP Data Queries yet, so no graphs per Access Policy.
(The "License limit for concurrent users" is hardcoded as we didn't find any SNMP OID which contained that data, so you have to manually change it to match your license)

However, all verbose logging within Cacti return an output: U:

No RRA files are generated, so no graphs are generated (not just NaN, absolutely no graphs):

Re: F5 BigIP v9 v10 v11 Templates (Global and LTM)

I'm having the same issue as DLinkOZ.

We have 8 F5's and none of them is creating any graph on our new Cacti server 0.8.8b running on RedHat 6. Not even the SNMP - Interface Statistics is creating graphs. All other devices are creating graphs.
We have also an older Cacti server 0.8.7e running on a jumpbox, on that server everything is fine. I also exported the template already from this one to the 0.8.8b server but without succes.

Does anyone have an idea?
