Custom OID implementation

Post by kulkarm »

Dear All,

I am very new to SNMP and i need to get "system up time" using our own OID.

I have already obtained the IANA number and i have created an MIB file for this purpose.

the problem is when i use snmpget command with our OID, i get object not found error on command prompt.

although when i do a snmptranslate on our object, i get the exact ODI of that object.

please let us know what i need to do or if you can share any link which can give me a clue on my way forward.
also if any information required from my side, please do let me know.

thanks in advance.
