Upgrade to 8.8c no NEW graph data

Post by ttricktt »

Howdee everyone,

I did an upgrade to 8.8.c following directions provided by cacti, but now my graphs are no longer updating charts. Old data is still available.
Here is small snippit from logs;
01/08/2015 01:25:14 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] WARNING: SNMP Get Timeout for Host:'mail2', and OID:'.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.2'
01/08/2015 01:25:05 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[17] DS[421] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: U

Any help will be appreciated,
Rick

Hi there,

1. Are you seeing no NEW data on ALL graphs, or just some?
2. Have you turned on DEBUG level logging and let a few polling cycles pass so that you can see if the RRD's are being updated?
3. Can you confirm that last time you saw an RRD get an update?
4. Have you done the basic Cacti debugging listed in the steps of Gandalf/TheWitness' signatures?

If you can give some more details, we should be able to get you going.

No data on all graphs

2. Have you turned on DEBUG level logging and let a few polling cycles pass so that you can see if the RRD's are being updated?
No, but I will.

3. Can you confirm that last time you saw an RRD get an update?
Well looking at the graphs it's Jan. 5th was the last update, that's when I updated Cacti.

4. Have you done the basic Cacti debugging listed in the steps of Gandalf/TheWitness' signatures?
No, I will look for the help files

If you can give some more details, we should be able to get you going.

In the /cacti/rra directory I do see files there that are current.

When I run 'php -q cmd.php id id' (host/device) i'm getting;
Could not open input file: /var/www/html/cacti-0.8.8b/scripts/wmi.php

I now know part of the problem is that when I run php -q cmd.php the directory is in error it should be /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/wmi.php

When I did the upgrade cmd.php is looking for /var/www/html/cacti-0.8.8b/scripts/wmi.php, but the directory cacti-0.8.8b was changed to cacti during the upgarde. So the directory is incorrect.

When I look in the scripts directory there is no wmi.php file.
I'm going to do a new upgrade something went wrong.

What it looks like is, you ran your upgrade with the folder in place "/var/www/html/cacti-0.8.8b/ rather than in the proper named directory of /cacti...

Can you tell me what directories you have in /var/www/html/ ? You may not have to reload...this might be a simple fix.

It was cacti-0.8.8b and I changed it to cacti (today). It still had problems so I tried to re-install, it looks like I will be doing a fresh install. I do have a backup of cacti database I should be able to recover.
