where to get default templates?

Post by Chrysalis »

I imported a template which then proceeded to update various existing templates. All the ones that say update obviously should not have been changed.

Am I screwed (assuming this breaks existing functions) or is there a way to get those back to default.
Cacti has imported the following items:

ok I have exported from a new cacti the data queries, graphs and data templates (not yet imported), but there seems to be no way to get the other stuff.

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I have just imported the Cisco IP SLA template (http://forums.cacti.net/about19542.html)
and cacti gives the following information:

Code: Select all

CDEF
[success] Make Stack Negative [update]

[success] Divide by 100 [new]
[success] Multiply by 1000 [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Stddev +SD Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Mean +SD Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Mean -SD Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Mean +DS Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Mean -DS Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Stddev -SD Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Stddev +DS Jitter [new]
[success] Cisco SAA - Stddev -DS Jitter [new]

GPRINT Preset
[success] Normal [update]

Data Input Method
[success] Get SNMP Data (Indexed) [update]

Data Template
[success] Cisco Router - SAA [new]

Graph Template
[success] Cisco - SAA Jitter/Error Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA Jitter Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA Basic Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA HTTP Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA VoIP Score [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA Jitter Statistics (Micro Precision) [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA Jitter/Error Statistics (Micro Precision) [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA DNS Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA FTP Statistics [new]
[success] Cisco - SAA Jitter Dispersion [new]

Data Query
[success] Cisco - IP SLA Statistics [new]

So it seems, the following things are overwritten:

CDEF
[success] Make Stack Negative [update]
(I couldn't see a change, probably because I never changed the defaults)

GPRINT Preset
[success] Normal [update]
(This one has been changed back to default, was changed by me beforehand.)

Data Input Method
[success] Get SNMP Data (Indexed) [update]

This is where I don't know how to check if something has changed, because I can't find the Data Input Method
"Get SNMP Data (indexed)" under "Data Input Methods" on the webinterface.

How do I make sure that nothing has changed?

I'd like to know if this is possible by loading a default table into another DB, I've inadvertently overwritten:

Host MIB - CPU Utilization
Host MIB - Hard Drive Space

If you guys would like a non-technical fix, I'll trade you exported default templates.

I've encountered a simliar issue, perhaps you could export the templates for Host MIB - CPU Utilization and Host MIB - Hard Drive Space?
