Adjust sensitivity of up/down alerts

Post by stormonts »

Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the up/down alerts?

The alerts are based off of Cacti itself polling, which is based off the Failure / Recovery count in Settings.

So the SNMP Retries setting (The number times the SNMP poller will attempt to reach the host before failing.), correct?

No, Settings >> Poller, all the way at the bottom. Host Up / Down Settings.

Thanks. We currently have the down set at "2" and we have a 1 minute poll. When a system is down, it seems like the alerts are sent out much quicker than within 2 minutes (2 x poll).
