cacti 0.8.8b (the all inclusive bundle from bsod2600 http://www.cacti.net/downloads/packages ... 0.8.8b.exe
on a windows 7 64bit machine, using the IIS option from BSOD's installer.
target device is a dell powerconnect 5448 on the same LAN.
I increased the SNMP timeouts to 5000 (default is 500).
c:\>snmpget -c public -v 1 10.x.x.2 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.7
returns:
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.7 = Counter32: 1437068271
However c:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\log\cacti.log reports (this keeps getting repeated every 5 minutes), when in debug mode:

Was that snmpget FROM the cacti server?
Is there a firewall rule which is blocking the SNMP traffic from cacti to the switch?
Tried switching between snmp v1 and v2 for that device in cacti?

The snmpget is on the same computer as the one running cacti, and both are against the same switch.
I've tried both snmp v1 and v2 in cacti.
