Issues with Juniper SRX template

Post by mbhuiyan »

hi there

I am getting the error below from one of our Juniper SRX210 device on cacti -

+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [SNMP Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/usr/share/cacti/site/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP get for num of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' Index Count:
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1' Index Count: 0
+ No SNMP data returned

I don't see any graphs and the device state is showing down. I have got he proper template as it works fine for the other Juniper device that is a single device. just to let you know, I am getting the errors for the stack Juniper device that means we stacked two Juniper devices together and that might be the cause. can you please help me with this?? do I need to add anything on template for the stack devices??
thanks

if the device is down, then its not responding to snmp queries. validate the device is functional in that regard FROM your Cacti server.

hi there

thanks for your reply. the Juniper device is up and running. I think, the reason could be, we stacked two Juniper devices together and running it as one device. is there any separate template for two stacked devices or is there any change we can do inside the template script???

thanks for your help mate

one more note I did SNMP walk from Cacti server and getting all the information I needed and that seemed to me strange -
