No creation of rrd-files on FC3

Post by Kobayashi »

Hi,.

I am running FC3 with following (relevant) packages
- mysql-3.23.58-13 (and devel)
- net-snmp-5.1.2-11 (and devel)
- rrdtool-1.0.49-1.1.fc3
- cacti-0.8.6c-1

Installation went well, I am getting the graphs for the local machine.
I'm trying to add graphs for our catalysts:
- device creation no problem
- graph creation based on SNMP info for catalyst also no problem
yet when I try to launch the poller.php I'm getting error messages :

Code: Select all

It seems that the rrd files in /rra are not created, yet permissions are set correctly (I think) :

Code: Select all

drwxrwxrwx 2 cacti cacti 4096 Feb 14 21:44 rra

when I remove the device created for the catalyst and run the poller.php again,...of course no more errors :

Code: Select all

Searched in several posts but didn't find any solution. Anyone an idea ??

Hi again,

Just found the solution in another post :
http://forums.cacti.net/about5766.html& ... rd+created

In the Data Templates, edit the Interface - Traffic template,
> In my case there were 2 Data Source item entries for Traffic-IN and Traffic-OUT, just remove the duplicates, recreated the device and graphs +
started the poller, ...this time without any errors !
