Interface traffic graph without auto scale?

Post by esplinter »

Hi,

I have setup cacti0.8.8b from sources with spine and everything seems to work fine.

The only small issue I have is that I would like to disable the auto scaling feature in the traffic graphs. For my interfaces which are 1Gbps I would like to have a fixed value in the Y axis to 125M independently of the real traffic in the interface. This way with a quick overview of my graphs I can easily find in which interfaces I am getting higher traffic, and for those interfaces with low traffic I can always zoom when needed.

Is there any easy approach to achieve this? I am using the graph template "Interface - Traffic (bits/sec)" and I tried to uncheck the "auto scale" option in it, but that doesn't seem to work.

I tried to find some information about this in the forums without luck. Could anyone give some advice about the best way to do this or point me to the right documentation to read?

thanks in advance.

I reply myself...

finally I managed to do this by selecting:

* Autoscale
* Use --alt-autoscale-min
* Upper limit 1000000000
