Hi Gandalf,

There appears to be a bug preventing the GPRINT prefixing from working properly.

I was able to solve this by changing code in the aggregate_graphs_insert_graph_items() function.

Here's the patch:

Code: Select all

--- aggregate.php.orig  2011-08-02 00:15:51.000000000 +0000
+++ aggregate.php       2011-08-02 00:15:00.000000000 +0000

                        # if this item defines a line break, remember to prepend next line
-                       $prepend = ($save["hard_return"] == "on");

                        $save["sequence"] = $_graph_item_sequence;
Thanks for this plugin, very handy...

Hi

I have been creating aggregate graphs ok without any issues. I have created some aggreagate graphs with 15 items without any issues. I have now tried to create one with 30 items and it's not rendering the graph. Is there a limit to the amount of graph items you can use in an aggregate graph??

I have attached screenshot of the settings I have been using, which have worked ok for other graphs. the only differnence being I have used graphs from 2 hosts, although they are using the same graph template and are the same host, but just created 2 devices within Cacti to split of the 2 wireless channels.

here is the graph properties.

This may be a restriction of windows regarding the max length of a command line. Neither Cacti, AGGREGATE nor rrdtool have such a restriction

Thanks for your reply.

Looks like the output is 10659 characters and the limit might be 8191. Then if I look at one of my other aggregate graphs it's only 5659 so within the 8191 limit. Aaah the joy of windoze!!!

Wonder if server 2008 might have a higher limit. A quick sniff on the web shows it has a limit of 32000.

It may happen that you can change that limit. No windows guy here, but just a try

Hey Larry and other smart folks,
Not sure if you can help or not, but I have Aggregate 0.75 installed and when I create an aggregate, the stacks seem to be applying some negative and some positive results together. I cant seem to figure out why this is happening. The data in the individual graphs looks fine...

Attached is a picture of whats happening.

Its not an aggregate issue. This issue was fixed in Cacti SVN, and you need to update your Cacti rpm (once the package maintainer updates it).

No, you want the 0.8.8 branch.

Hi.

Faced with a similar problem. After installation Aggregate V0.75, when trying to create a aggregate graf get the error "Validation error".

Is it possible to explain in more detail what to do.

I'm using cacti-0.8.8b on centos 6.5 64.

Thanks in advance.

This is confirmed broken when using the latest stable Cacti 0.8.8b PIA 3.1. "Validation error" is all that is displayed.

Verified that the update to the recently released 0.8.8.c fixes the validation issue.
