Ok, what OS are you running on localhost, those scripts are mostly designed to work with Linux.

There is some linux emulation/mode you can run that will allow you to use these scripts, but I'm no FreeBSD person.. ;) So if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, please do tell. :)

You may have to edit those scripts and point them at the /proc linux stuff.

See, don't know FreeBSD that well. But I thought there was a emulation/mode that you can set to emulate/activate linux like proc directory.

Hi

could you try these 2 OIDs, maybe they'll work on FreeBSD :

Code: Select all

$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.5.0
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemNumUsers.0 = Gauge32: 1

$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.6.0
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemProcesses.0 = Gauge32: 82
Here are my compilation options for Net-SNMP 5.2, running on Linux 2.4 :

Code: Select all

$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost versionConfigureOptions
UCD-SNMP-MIB::versionConfigureOptions.0 = STRING: "'--prefix=/usr' '--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu' '--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--datadir=/usr/share' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--localstatedir=/var/lib' '--with-sys-location=Unknown' '--with-sys-contact=root@Unknown' '--with-default-snmp-version=3' '--with-mib-modules=host smux ucd-snmp/dlmod' '--with-logfile=//var/log/net-snmpd.log' '--with-persistent-directory=//var/lib/net-snmp' '--enable-ucd-snmp-compatibility' '--enable-shared' '--with-zlib' '--with-install-prefix=/var/tmp/portage/net-snmp-5.2/image/' '--enable-embedded-perl' '--with-openssl' '--disable-internal-md5' '--with-libwrap' '--enable-ipv6' 'CFLAGS=-O2 -march=pentium4 -fomit-frame-pointer' 'host_alias=i686-pc-linux-gnu'"
