Map not working for weathermap

Post by penguinbliss »

Hello guys, can you help me fixing this from the scratch?.

I installed cacti successfully and the graphs shows very well since the poller.php is polling it fine in every 5 mins. Then I installed weathermap plugin in it, but my basic map(name - test) with conf "simple.conf" is not working. It's been over 24 hours and nothing changes in the map.

How to get this map working properly? and more features(images) to it for customization?.

Also how to output the map to a html file to view it on browser?.

Please could you paste the config for one of the links that isn't changing?

Also, are there any WEATHERMAP errors in the cacti.log?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

So you have a network link, but you are using a CPU Usage rrd file from some server.

Code: Select all

07/22/2014 02:25:02 PM - WEATHERMAP: Poller[0] WARNING: [Map 3] simple.conf: RRD ReadData: At least one of your DS names (traffic_in and traffic_out) were not found, even though there was a valid data line. Maybe they are wrong? Valid DS names in this file are: load_1min,load_5min,load_15min, [WMRRD06]
Weathermap expects two DS names called traffic_in and traffic_out by default, which is what you get from a Cacti interface traffic graph. You need to either:

1) Pick a traffic graph (most likely what you need)

OR

2) Change the target to include the DS names you want to represent input and output traffic. This is probably wrong for you, but here is how it is done:
TARGET /var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_load_1min_5.rrd:load_1min:load_5min
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
