Empty cacti graphs
Hello, after waiting a few days to update the graphics, I've realized that nothing was happening. The graphics are empty, despite the fact that the poller is started and configured in the crontab. Here is an example of my log file :

Re: Empty cacti graphs
probably it's the graph template. I choose :
Host template : generic SNMP-enabled Host
Associated Graph Template : Interface - Traffic (bits/sec) AND ucd/net - Load Average
Associated Data Queries : SNMP - Interface Statistics
All my equipements are HP procurve Switch.

Re: Empty cacti graphs
The interface statistic template is using standardized SNMP Mibs/OIDs so this shouldn't be a problem.
Can you snmpwalk the device/interface data ?
You can view what is being returned in the cacti logfile when increasing the log level to "High".

Re: Empty cacti graphs
Seems like you're using SNMP v1 for this switch. Try using v2

Re: Empty cacti graphs
I've juste trying it. I also just tried to install cacti on a virtual machine on but I did not even chart. There is a problem with the poller.php. I said to myself, at worst, I use cacti on a dedicated machine, but it does not work.

What does snmpwalk return for these commands ( replace "public" with your snmp community string ):
Code: Select all
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 172.16.15.170.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.101
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.2.171 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.58

so that's exactly what is being graphed in Cacti.

Re: Empty cacti graphs
Yes I'm sure. I supervised 12 switchs in cacti, they are all zero. The port is the port VLAN DATA, one through which all connections.
But what I find strange is when I want to make a chart, it tells me that the DATA interface is zero.

I once had this kind of issue ( not sure what system it was ) where you cannot get VLAN specific data when you're not within the same VLAN.
Try adding the other interfaces first, to check the overall functionality.
You can also try to add a new device using the IP address you specified for the VLANs ( 172.16.18.170 for DATA, 172.16.180.170 for VOIX )
You can check if the later one returns data using this command:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 172.16.18.170 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.101
