Data Queries [edit: Compaq - CPU]

Name Compaq - CPU
A name for this data query.
Description Retrieve Compaq CPU1 & CPU2 data
A description for this data query.
XML Path <path_cacti>/resource/snmp_queries/mgb_compaq_CPU.xml
The full path to the XML file containing definitions for this data query.
Data Input Method
Choose what type of host, host template this is. The host template will govern what kinds of data should be gathered from this type of host. Get Script Data (Indexed) Get Script Server Data (Indexed) Get SNMP Data (Indexed)


Could not locate XML file.

Path , permissin is correct
/usr/local/share/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/mgb_compaq_CPU.xml

WHY ?

I ran into same problem. The file was developed on windows and you are using a unix based system (i'm psychic right?)
Change the filename and any pointers to all lower case and it should find it. One of the other templates from that post has the same problem too.

let me know if that didn't work

In my case, I had lowercased the filename but still it could not locate the xml file. Why?

I am not able to see this path : /usr/local/share/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/

it is only present till : /usr/local/share

Please help how do I put the xml file in cacti in order for it to get located. Please help. I am completely new to cacti.
