Problem with SNMP

Post by axel42 »

Hello,

I don't understand why, SNMP request is working for "SNMP - Interface Statistics" and SNMP request is not working for "SNMP - Get Mounted Partitions" for the same device...

I installed the last cacti version

Please, help me

This has nothing to do with Cacti.
If you want to use SNMP, you also need to unterstand SNMP ;-)

You fail to mention what type of device it is (ex: most network devices don't have harddrives!)

snmpwalk -v 2c -c COMMUNITYNAME IPADDRESS .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.1

Try running this from the command line, replace COMMUNITYNAME and IPADDRESS with your info.
Other things to try.

Ensure you are using SNMP v2 instead of v1.
Ensure your device is set to allow OIDS (if Linux).
