Where to add status-notification? (Where are the hotspots?)

Post by msepp »

Hi,

Just took a look at the code for a sec, but I did not find any hotspot for adding some code within the smtp-query.

So, is there somebody out, who is more familar with the code than me, and who could give me a hint, where to add some "on-failure" - code?

I would like to do the following:
- check if host is up (if not -> E-Mail)
- if determining stats for an interface, first check, if it's administrativly or otherwise down (if it's down -> E-Mail)
- Returned negative or otherwise mailformed return (-> E-Mail), maybe thold can do this one, but I'll need to check.

regards
Sebastian

I would point you to poller.php, because it handles all the polling and gathering of information. It also knows the status of the hosts.
