Threshold Creation for SYSTEM STATS messages

Post by somasundaram »

Hi,

In my recent installation of cacti 0.8.8a in win2008 server, i was able to create thresholds and send notifications through SMTP.

I would like to understand, is there any possibilities to create a threshold for monitor & send alert based on the SYSTEM STATS messages.

The purpose of doing this is, i would like to monitor my cacti server is polling properly or not and the rrd files are getting updated or not.

Is there any other logic or method available, pl let me know.

Thanks
Somu

Hi

Implement the Cacti Poller Statistic template and sue that for your thresholds.

Out of curiosity, did you hit the "Create Graphs for this host" link at the top and selected these graphs ?

Hi,

I'm trying to enable the following graphs "Cacti - User Statistics, Cacti - User Session Statistics, Cacti - User Login Statistics".

But i get the error message like.

SPINE: Poller[0] Host[350] ERROR: Empty result [localhost]: 'C:/php/php.exe -q C:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti/scripts/cacti_user_stats.php'
SPINE: Poller[0] Host[350] ERROR: Empty result [localhost]: 'C:/php/php.exe -q C:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti/scripts/cacti_user_stats.php'
SPINE: Poller[0] Host[350] ERROR: Empty result [localhost]: 'C:/php/php.exe -q C:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti/scripts/cacti_user_stats.php'

except these i'm able to generate remaining all the graphs on this script. My basic doubts is is this script will tell the stats message of the logged in users through the cacti web interface or the users logged in to the server on windows operating system.
