Graphs not showing

Hi,
I had installed cacti 8.7h version and upgraded yesterday to 8.8b version.
Plugins work correctly, and realtime plugin shows and draws graphs correctly, but regular graphs are not updating, and some are not even being shown.
Can you give me any suggestions in how to approach the problem?

I have checked that the rrdtool is version 1.4.3 and I have checked 1.4.x in cacti settings. Still no graphs shown.
Looks like my uselessness prevented me from correcting permissions for the rra folder. I have set the correct permissions and some of the graphs have been fixed, but some others don't show correct thumbnails or don't show a graph at all.

Did you recursively set the permissions, so that they can be written by the user running the cronjob, and read by the Apache user?

I did chmod 777 -R for the whole cacti directory. That did the partial fix.

Turns out one type of graph was not showing just the thumbnail due to the comment bug. But I still have the problem with the interface traffic graphs. The poller polls data correctly, since when I download the .csv it contains data. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Turns out I am a complete disaster. After checking all graph templates thoroughly I noticed that the graphs not showing even the thumbnail were using the SVG image format. After changing it to PNG everything worked perfectly. I don't know why it was en svg, but png works like charm.
