Can I Migrate Linux To Windows?
We've got a Cacti server that we're looking at migrating. It's currently on a Linux server setup by a previous admin. However all of our other servers are Windows machines. We're more comfortable on Windows and I've got a two part question. Can we migrate our current Linux server to Windows 2008 R2? If so how? A step by step explanation or a link would be most appreciated, thanks all!

Re: Can I Migrate Linux To Windows?
yes, its technically possible. Searching the forum should reveal many other post on this topic. I'm not aware of anyone taking the time to create an official guide (want to volunteer?) you'll need to find/use a script to convert the *.rrd data from linux to windows (basically rrdtool dump and rrdtool import commands). the database migration is dump, import, and correct paths. any custom linux specific scripts will not work on Windows.
