Upgrade plugin Syslog

I need to update plugin syslog from 1.21 to 1.22-2. Is It possible if I do?:
1° - Disable syslog on "Plugin Management"
2° - delete folder syslog in ...cacti/plugins/
3° - Copy new syslog folder to ...cacti/plugins/

Or, will It create problems to my database?

Cacti Version: 0.8.7g, Plugin Architecture Version: 2.8

Anyone have an answer to this question? I would like to upgrade as well.
