Could Cacti/Threshold execute a local shell script?

Hi,

my installed cacti version is:
cacti-0.8.7h.tar.gz
cacti-plugin-0.8.7h-PA-3.0.tar.gz
settings-v0.71-1.tgz
thold-v0.5.0.tgz

It seems Cacti / Threshold could only send a mail in case of alert.

If any method could I execute a local shell script in case of alert?
