Alcatel 77XX monitoring of SAP's / SDP's

Post by v101 »

I am working on getting Alcatel-Lucent 7750's into Cacti for monitoring, bandwidth reporting, etc. pulling the base interface/physical ports is working great, and has been for some time.
the issue is pulling VRF or VPRN interfaces, which sometimes can be listed as SAP's / SDP (MPLS Tunnel)

Has anyone build any templates that will work to pull the stats for the SDP's and SAP's from the router?

ALU discussed using 5620 SAM to pull the XML configs, but this method has a lot of involvement that would seem easier to just get a CACTI template working, to pull these virtual interfaces or MPLS tunnels.

I know that to pull SNMP data for each VPRN, that you must configure the SNMP strings under the VRF that you want to pull, however cacti lists these interfaces as tunnel interfaces, and is unable to pull data from them, when attempting to build graphs.

If you get a template on this please let me know, I have been trying to get a template working for sap's (logical tagged sub-interfaces attached to services). thanks.

Do you know how can I the OID for the "egress rate", I'm monitoring Alcatel 77XX's interfaces and badly need a way to get this value.

Thanks beforehand.

That should do:

Code: Select all

 <ifEtherEgressRate>
                        <name>Ethernet Max Bandwidth</name>
                        <method>walk</method>
                        <source>value</source>
                        <direction>input</direction>
                        <oid>.1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.2.4.4.1.11.1</oid>
                </ifEtherEgressRate>
