Yes I fully understand, it is true I do include generic templates as interface statistics in my host template but I never modify them for the same reason you stated... I did suffer from bad importation in the past!
For the "Min" values it is only because I forgot them.. I will update them next week. For the "Last/Min/Avg/Max" values of the "Active" and "Misses" data templates it is because I didn't find a way to do it properly. If I recall there is no OID for "Active", neither for "Misses".. So what I did, for "Misses" as example, is that I've created an area to represent the "Total" OID and named it "Misses", then I've overlayed another area to represent the "Hits" OID and then added a stack to represent the "Errors" OID. Doing so, only the "Misses" value remained visible of the first area containing the "Total" OID - this technique work for the graph but I couldn't find a way to get the same results for the GPRINTS without getting into complex RRD calculations...
cheers!

Re: IronPort C10 Mail & Spam Appliance
Okay, yep I've been stuck there before too. Our security team is interested in implementing this for our WSA devices, so I'll likely be working with the templates sometime this week or next. I bet I can craft up some CDEF magic to get the GPRINT legends working. I'll keep you posted.

Re: IronPort C10 Mail & Spam Appliance
I'm glad you figured it out. Let us know if you still have problems. I seem to remember having an issue like that in the past.
