Thold: Host down template?

Thanks to all the great contributors to cacti! It is my go-to tool!

We monitor a many hundreds of devices on our network. Within that there are a couple dozen that we consider "critical", and we use the monitor plugin to get quick status on those critical devices.

We also have about a dozen devices with thresholds. What we like about thresholds is that they send us notifications when a device is having a particular problem.

However, the monitor plugin does not send us notifications when one of our critical devices is down.

So it occurs to me that maybe there is a way to create a "host down" template?

I did try to turn on "Dead hosts Notifications", but it sends me notifications for _ALL_ hosts; not just the ones we consider critical.
