Memory Graph Issue

Post by pratapsingh »

I have installed and configured Cacti to monitor few resources for single server.
Cacti is not displaying the correct memory usage graph.
free -mt
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2041 1743 298 0 135 1126
-/+ buffers/cache: 481 1560
Swap: 4094 7 4086
Total: 6136 1751 4385
Php version is 5.4.
cacti-0.8.8b

I have gone through few old posts in forum but unable to figure out where and what is wrong its a default installation and I did not make any changes to it.

Default one is kinda problematic and don't show real information unfortunately! You can use the attached template. it works fine and i'm pretty happy :)

Procedure:

Code: Select all

Download cacti-netsnmp-memory.0.7.tar.gz to a temporary directory on the Cacti server machine.
Expand archive tar -xvzf cacti-netsnmp-memory.0.7.tar.gz
Copy scripts/ss_netsnmp_memory.php to the <cacti>/scripts/ directory.
Cacti web browser > "Import Templates" > import the template/Net-SNMP_memory_graph_template.xml file.
Click Devices > Select a *NIX host that is running Net-SNMP, > "Associated Graph Templates " > Select "Host Memory - ucd/net - Memory Usage" in the "Add Graph Template " drop-down box, and click the "Add" button.
Cheers!!
