Monitor Plugin Issue

I have installed the monitor plugin and I can see the Windows 7 machine and it always shows that it is up, even when I bring the machine down. I don't know if I have something misconfigured, I have snmp uptime set for down detection, setting it to ping doesn't work either.

It seems that it does work, but takes forever (20+minutes) to update whether the machine is down or up. Can someone tell me a way to make this happen in real time or have it poll every 30 seconds or so?
