We are trying to monitor interface statistics on a Meraki MX80 firewall that is controlled by Meraki's cloud infrastructure. TCP/UDP ports 161 to the local device are closed, and apparently the only way to monitor it is through Meraki's cloud over SNMP via n16.meraki.com port 16100 (a port which is not open to the LAN side of the local/non-cloud devices) using an unchangeable V2C community string.
Yeah, this stuff absolutely sucks. However, are there any users out there also using Meraki firewalls who have had some level of success? Per Meraki, this may be monitorable via SolarWinds... but why introduce more garbage into the environment just to get some stats?
Thank you all in advance for reading.

Re: Meraki cloud controlled firewalls
You may have missed this but you are in fact able to poll the Dashboard or Device.. If you want to poll the device directly then you should just query the standard UDP161 using the community string you define under Network-wide Settings. If you download the MIB then you can pull physical interface stats:
