I recently started working for a company that uses Cacti.
When we added a new device, the current list of devices stopped graphing their results.
We looked at every aspect of the configuration to see what was wrong. We could not determine a problem.
What we found was that the poller.php stopped collecting data and populating the rrd files.
Upon detailed investigation with each person who had admin rights we found one user would add a device, then from the Devices screen would 'enable' that device. What the result was that without any Graphs associated or created for that device, all other devices immediately stopped collecting data for the rrd files and the cacti.log showed that no rrd files were updated.
We had to go to the Data Sources page and enable the datasources for all devices to get it to begin again capturing the rrd files.
We are using Cacti 0.8.8a.
Can anyone confirm this and if so, can it be included in the Help so that others don't have to search for a solution as I did, without success?
Suddenly some rrd's stopped updating.

Re: Suddenly some rrd's stopped updating.
We had a bug in that area which should be fixed with 088b. This is around activating and deactivating hosts.
