query_ifAlias doesn't show Layer 3 Vlan interface

I've added the query_ifAlias field to my graph titles. Works fine, except for layer 3 vlan interfaces on cisco switches. I have descriptions on these interfaces, and the SNMP - Interface Statistics on query on the device shows that Cacti is picking up the interface descriptions properly in the ifAlias field. They just don't show up on the graph title, and I get |query_ifAlias| instead. Running the interface stats query to rediscover/reindex the interfaces does not fix the issue. So far, I've only seen this happen on Cisco 6500 layer 3 vlan interfaces. What gives? I'm runnnig Cacti 0.8.7b

I am also experiencing this. I'm surprised that this topic has no replies in 2 years. It's rather important to me that the title of a graph of a VLAN interface includes the description of the interface.

Has no one else experienced this issue?
