Hi All
Firstly, I am fairly new to linux, and recently encountered Cacti (0.8.8b) to be used for our network monitoring. All used to work just fine, until I performed a yum update this morning (RHEL6).
Now, when I navigate to my graphs, I don't see the graphs for some of our switches. The graphs for the local host (memory monitoring) appears fine. I noticed the following error in the logs:
ERROR: Expected some arguments after 'COMMENT:'
RRDTool version: 1.3.8
I noticed that the graphs are not displaying on the switches that has the data type set to In/Out Bits with 95th Percentile, others switches that has data type set as In/Out Bits appears to be fine.
Any ideas or advise would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Leon

Re: No Graphs deplayed
We are having the same problem with all of our 5 of our CactiEZ installs. I ran yum -y update during out maint. window on Friday and haven't got any graphs all weekend.
I have read through all the post on here and haven't found a solution. If anyone knows of one I would love to try it out!

Re: No Graphs deplayed
There's a solution on a sourceforge forum but I'm not a php programmer so I'm not going to attempt it. I hope it comes out as a patch for the coding challenged among us.
An easy not-so-elegant fix is to go into graph templates and modify the COMMENT at item 9 in the "bits/sec, 95th Percentile" template so that it contains a character of some sort in the Text Format box. I'm using a period but a space works as well. It offsets the data displayed on the graph but at least the graph displays, at least in my case.

Hi All
Thank you for the advice. I have now applied the patch from Gandalf (http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50598), and appears to have resolved the issue
Now all my 95 Percentile graphs are displaying.
Kind regards
Leon

Re: No Graphs deplayed
Hi All,
I deployed the patches and am still not getting graphs. I checked the RRD files and they are still getting data. I am not sure what my next course of action should be.
Any suggestion where to look next?
Many Thanks!
