Well, there is a chance you have a network or SNMP problem. It's also possible that your InRow is slightly different and doesn't support the same OID as an ACRC500 (for which these templates were originally designed). I know others have run into some issues. It's too bad APC didn't standardise SNMP across all InRow models.

I would then confirm that you have SNMP v2 enabled, and also verify your community string. You could try

Code: Select all

$ snmpwalk -v2c -c public 172.16.10.8
instead, or alternatively:

Code: Select all

$ snmpwalk -v1 -c public 172.16.10.8
$ snmpwalk -v1 -c  apcalerts 172.16.10.8
to see if anything comes back. If you get output, but the OIDs aren't resolving, let me know.

Ah yes, I was suspecting this. So, there are two types of SNMP, and you're looking at the configuration for SNMP traps. These are messages that are sent out by the agent when certain conditions occur and are handled by a snmp trap handler.

This template doesn't use traps. It relies on actively polling the SNMP agent. This is configured on a different screen, I think under 'network'. Make sure you have a community listed there.

Let me know how it progresses.

Sorry I just saw your attachments. The community you need to use is 'public' for this template. Reconfigure your hosts in cacti to use that instead of 'apcalerts'. You may likely still have problems if your InRow's are not ACRC500's. Do you know what model you have?

Okay, this template won't work with the units you have without some modifications. See my post from Tue Dec 11, 2012 4:19 pm.

Unfortunately, not all InRow units use the same OIDs. If I had access to other types of units, I would be able to modify the template quite easily, and guarantee that it would work, but unfortunately I only have ACRC500's. Someone else on this thread may have already adapted these templates to work with the units you have.

I have the same device, can anyone share with me template for this?
