Can't seem to get it working...
I swear, I finally got it installed (was having problems with MySQL) and now I can't figure out why the SNMP isn't working. If anyone could help, thanks in advance.
This is my setup.
All canopy equipment has public IP Addresses and are version 7.0.7. I am accessing the canopy from a static IP address and have the SNMP setup in the canopy to send the traps to my address and the accessing subnet to my subnet /24 (ie. 12.34.56.0/24). I get SNMP error in red when I try to add a device to Cacti. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

If you are running Cacti 0.8.6h and cactid, change your availability to SNMP or Ping and the device, even though it shows an SNMP error, should poll.

Also, I am considering a patch. Please run the following commands and post the results:
first:
second:
create a file that contains the following:
Then run that file using "php myfile.php".
Thanks

first:
Code: Select all
snmpgetnext -c <your_community> -v 1 <your_host> .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0
create a file that contains the following:
Code: Select all
<?php print "The result was: " . snmpgetnext("your_host:your_port", "your_community", ".1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0", 2, 2) . "\n";?>
Thanks

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

First the first statement I get Timeout: No Response from XX.245.189.138
Ok, an edit to my original post. I didn't have the extensions directories set up properly to "extensions/" so it couldn't find the snmp files. My apologies... This is what I get now for the second
