Cacti performance

I have two questions about cacti's performance:
1, How is the cacti performance when there are more than 1,5000 devices to be monitored? Each device needs around 100 items.
2, How is the graph drawing performance when the RRD files are very large, maybe more than hundreds of MB.

Performance depends on no of data sources, not hosts.
Then, SNMP data sources are way faster than scripts.
Next, rrd performance does not vary much with file size, as only small chunks are required due to optimized file structure
