thold plugin weird behaviour

I am using Cacti Version: 0.8.8a, Plugin Architecture Version: 3.1. and thold version 0.5.0 At first i tried creating a threshold template for interface status. I almost succeeded but discovered that i had instead created a template for interface_traffic and not status by mistake. After several unsuccessful attempts to create the status template i disabled and uninstalled thold. I re-installed and re-activated it and immediately discovered that all my graphs were not displaying. The rrd files were still being created though but no matter what i did i couldn't get thold active as well as the graphs to display at the same time. The graphs only displayed when thold was disabled. The following is the error from cacti logs

Please can someone out there figure out what this is and how it can be solved?

I managed to solve the following problems after a lot tips from the forum.

1. Solved the Graphs not appearing when THOLD is enabled by modifying $dsname = $kdef[2] to $dsname = $kdef[0] in the setup.php in the THOLD plugin folder.
2. Solved the poller errors by modifying the etc/my.cnf file according to http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40156

But now my problem is i can't see any threshold templates and devices under the THOLD tab even if both have been created.

Can someone help ?
