[solved] graphs - rrd/ files not being created

Apologies in advance for this thread because I know there are a dozen others that are very similar. If there is a modern answer somewhere then please let me know.

I have several Cacti installations on different servers & they all work fine. All of them are on CentOS 5.*, except this new one that has graphing issues; it is running CentOS 6.4.

Here are the details:

Cacti Version 0.8.8a

# tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log

ERROR: opening '/var/www/cacti/rra/localhost_users_6.rrd': No such file or directory

# tail -f /var/www/cacti/log/cacti.log

I thought it was a permission issue so I set rra/ to 777 but that did not solve the problem. Localhost status is 'unknown' & I've tried re-adding it. The settings in spine.conf & config.php are correct.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Just to add to this as I made this simple mistake I forgot to highlight the associated RRA's on the data source creation page under CONSOLE>MANAGMENT>DATA SOURCES.

If these aren't highlighted (crtl+click) the rrd files will not be created.
