Regarding apache.conf under /etc/cacti after install via apt

Hello,

I installed cacti via apt-get on a clean Debian 7 system and all was fine except for the need to change date.timezone under both php.ini files.

Anyway, I am just wondering how /etc/cacti/apache.conf is parsed by Apache when it isn't referenced under any of the configuration files located in /etc/apache2?

I am not having any issues but I can't work out how Apache is aware of /etc/cacti/apache.conf. Any insight would be appreciated!

There should be a softlink pointing from /etc/apache2/conf.d/cacti.conf to this file. If it is not, you should create it. It is created as part of the installation process if you opt for Apache during the debconf questions.

Hah! I don't know how I missed this:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 Jul 4 03:03 cacti.conf -> ../../cacti/apache.conf
