Meru total wireless stations

Post by jay »

Hi

I have created this new template. This shows the total wireless stations connected to all AP's.

This figure is shown on the controller GUI under:-
Monitor - Dashboard - System

Stations
Data 1
Phones 0
Total: 1

This is good to give you an overall figure for all stations.
This was exported using 0.8.7e and should be a data and graph template only as it's a non-indexed query so just import the 2 xml files and you should be good to go.

Don't forget I have other Meru templates here as well

Thanks for doing this Jay! However, I'm not getting any data for some reason.

Any idea?

Hi Hank

Sorry for the delay I have been on holiday.

First thing to check is are you able to get the data via SNMP. Can you run an snmpwalk via the CLI from your Cacti server as shown below.

F:\net-snmp\bin>snmpwalk -v2c -c <communnity> <ipaddress> .1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.1.1.3.1.13.11.0
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.15983.1.1.3.1.13.11.0 = Gauge32: 11

Let me know what you see.

What version of firmware are you running on your controller? This may only be available in later versions.

Cheers

Jay

No problems and thanks for replying!

This is what I'm getting

No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

Looks like the OID doesn't exist.

I have an MC3000 running 4.0-165.

Hi

Yes it looks your version doesn't support that OID.

We are running the following controllers and version. Not sure what version the minimum version you would need to support this OID.

MC4200 5.3-50
MC1500 5.3-50

Cheers
