Is it possible to graph WAN latency for multiple routers

Post by packy »

Hi all, new to the forums but have been using Cacti for about 6 months or so now.

I maintain a lot of customer sites and have configured Cacti for those with large multi-site networks where WAN usage and latency is critical to business operations. I have been searching around to see if it is possible to graph WAN latency on multiple routers with packet loss stacked (like in the attached image), but have been unable to find a definite answer.

My question is, is this something that is even possible given that Cacti runs on a server that uses router 1 as its gateway but I want to monitor the latency on up to 10 routers from the router to an external host (for example: ping from routers 1 through 10 to google public DNS 8.8.8.8 )

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

so, basically, you're asking if Cacti is good for doing some smokeping?
dunno if cacti is able to do that..

There is a smokeping like script someone has made... search the script forum.
