Thanks for this nice guy, it worked fine except the external plugins which you linked.
That page does not work so I could not download them either. Also, why are they not in the official Cacti page?
I don´t usually feel safe or trust external non supported stuff and I assume there are not in the Cacti plugins page for a reason as opposed to the rest. But anyway, they don´t work. That page you linked which has the 3 plugins, timeouts or gives an error when you try to download them.
I still could install and use the guide fine, leaving those plugins aside. Are they really important? Since I don´t see any particular broken or not working my test setup.

I suppose I could try to restore an old instance of CactiEZ ( for the jqueryskin )
...will update you mate

Question: Does anyone have the advanced ping files, jqueryskin and the watermark files? The mirrors time out and freedrive gives errors...
Thanks!
As of October 8, no status change on the watermark and jqueryskin availability. I looked at the CactiEZ and was able to extract the watermark and jqueryskin RPM's out of it, could those be used if the intended plugins aren't made available any time soon?
EDIT: Figured it out. I downloaded CactiEZ, ripped the watermark and jqueryskin rpm's out of the ISO file. Used 7-Zip to extract the cpio file out of the rpm. SCP'd the cpio files to my Cacti server, and did "cpio -idmv < filename.cpio" and found the the watermark and jqueryskin subfolders from the extracted files, and moved them to the Cacti plugins folder. Refreshed the Cacti plugins page, and "installed" them both. Googled the name of the advanced ping template v2.2 and found it on a code.google.com site --> http://code.google.com/p/ftqzy-it-code/ ... l&can=2&q= <-- for those interested.
In any case, since the links in the initial post are pretty much dead (the first mirror filed for bankruptcy, 2nd one just refuses to work), I've made them available for the rest of us.
Hi everyone!
Just want to thank ukzerosniper as this is the only tutorial on internet I could install cacti on Centos!
I have just one stupid question:
How come I cant access the Cacti server over network?
Everytime I get error - wrong username/password..
Which file should I modify or where should I create user for accessing Cacti over network?
Upon creating database. It creates it but doesn’t write the second line and so does with the next flush privileges line, AND do not create a database. it creates a line but says 0-Rows affected.
“mysql> GRANT ALL ON cacti.* TO cacti@localhost IDENTIFIED BY ‘The-Password-I-Set';
Query OK , 0 rows affected (0.09 sec)”
It creates the database cacti.sql file though as i can locate the cacti.sql file’s location. but when I go installing the table it says ” ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database ‘cacti'”.
Send help please.
