I am monitoring in the neighborhood of 2K nodes for my customer and I have no SNMP access. I am retrieving all of the information via perl scripts using Net::SSH:Expect and then loading that data into MySQL.
In order to make graphing this data as efficient as possible via cacti I am curious what the relationship is between data, graphs and hosts.
I am hoping to have a one to many relationship between data input methods/data templates and my graph templates.
This gives me the ability to run my cli script once grab all of the relevant data from a table and then have multiple graphs use said data. Is this possible?
Thanks

Re: Data to Graph relationship
http://docs.cacti.net/manual:088 has a lot of good info.
Yes, there is one to many relationship for data input methods and data/graph templates. although, youre likely to run into some challenges with the remote *.rrd file updating. http://docs.cacti.net/manual:088:8_rrdt ... dated_rrds might be useful.
