Re: Why Cacti graph is showing usage ~80 Mbps?
80 Megabits per second, times 60 seconds, times two hours is about 60 Gigabits Total. That is combat math, so the exact number could be closer to the 74 megabits
But you appear to be confusing two things.
- One, ensure you know the speed of your link. Megabytes vs megabits.
- The Total is the cumulative traffic that has passed through the link during the time period. The Max is the highest bandwidth during that period.

Re: Why Cacti graph is showing usage ~80 Mbps?
my total link capacity for this point to point line is 10 mbps and today morning when i came morning i saw similar graph where it showing bandwidth peak to ~ 80 mbps..
could you please suggest me whats wrong here? any time my bandwisth graph should not increase more than 10 mbps.
attaching current graph for your reference...
I want--
1-Vertical scale should be from 1 to 10 MBPS.
Appreciate your inputs!

Re: Why Cacti graph is showing usage ~80 Mbps?
Try looking at the raw counters on the router, and see if they are increasing correctly.
Then take a look at the graph template, and ensure that it is not incorrectly multiply by 1024.

Thanks for your reply!
i am sure Router counter is working fine..i doubt i have done some mistake during cacti configuration.
Could you please suggest me what all things i should check in cacti to ensure--
1- Vertical graph should be from 1 to 10 MBPS.
2- I should be able to see correct output.
Thanks!
