Stupid Question

Status "unknown" is default for devices with no associated Graph Templates|Data Queries|Poller Item entries.
Please post XML to get an idea why nothing is entered into Poller cache

I just got hit with this bug on 0.8.8a, but mine is not a fresh install, it is quite old ... it would not update the RRDs... I put in DEBUG mode, but did not see any relevant messages in the logs ... after a while I did change to cmd.php and then I saw

POLLER: Poller[0] NOTE: There are no items in your poller for this polling cycle!

After this I went in the 'system utilities' and did a 'rebuild poller cache'... after that voila, it started work again.

First time I saw this on 5 years of running cacti ... I did enable the realtime plugin two days ago, but it should not be related to that.

Let´s see when it happens again... if anyone has any tips, let me know.

I had the same issue (Ubuntu 12.04). In my case

Console -> System Utilities -> Rebuild Poller Cache

hi all

i'm new user of cacti.
i changed some setting of Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, Total Bandwidth) graph template and unfortunately it doesn't work properly.
actualy, total input and total output printed under graphs are the same!
i don't have any knowledge about cacti and linux.
would you please send me an export of Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, Total Bandwidth original template ?
or some screen shots from your template setting.
or help me to check/change the setting (step by step).
