Solaris DiskIO - Help!

Post by tman »

Has anyone actually managed to graph diskio load average (1,5,15 minute) on Solaris?? I've tried using the Sun SNMP agent (poor) and Net-SNMP (better), but none seem to provide the disk load average OID. If you look at the UCD-DISKIO-MIB, the counters are listed under ucdExperimental/ucdDiskIOMIB, items 9, 10, 11, but nothing seems to support them. I suppose the fact it is listed under experimental should give away the state of development, but UCD-SNMP was superceded by NET-SNMP quite a while ago now.

I need a way of monitoring disk load, and can't get the info.

Cacti 0.8.6b server is running on Linux (FC2).

Thanks

Hi,

I'm writing some data input methods (script/command type) and graph templates for Solaris. As soon as I have a first version I will let you know.
