I'm looking for a way to relate peaks in traffic graphs, to other graphs, for tracking purposes.
For example: say we see a big peak in the traffic of the uplink of a switch. We'll want to know which port on the switch this traffic is going to / coming from. In the current situation, we do this by going through all the uplinks and comparing the pattern manually. But I'm thinking it shouldn't be too hard to basically click the peak and have Cacti compare it to other grahps automatically.
I'm hoping there is already some plugin out there that can do this, or perhaps a different solution that accomplishes the same. Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Re: Relating peaks to other graphs
Reportit might do parts of it, when graphs are of same type (e.g. traffic).
In case you can make up some formulae or code that represents your interpretation of "peak", a plugin should be doable. I'm not aware, that is exists currently
