Hey Guys,
I am fairly new to cacti but got tasked with migrating a running version (0.8.7) from a 32 bit vm to a 64 bit vm running (0.8.8.a).
So what I did is this:
1) spun up a new 64 bit vm and installed 0.8.7
2) copied my 32 bit vm over to the same virtual host
3) dumped the cacti data from the old server
4) imported it into the new server (still running on 0.8.7)
5) Made sure everything was off, poller, nothing crond etc on the new server.
6) copied over the rra's
7) adjusted the config.php on the new server
copied over relevant scripts
9) made sure all permissions were ok on the rra log dir and images
Fired up cacti on the new server and it looked like it was working.
Then I upgraded the new version to 0.8.8.a following similar process as above and things looked like they were working.
Well....the rra's are all there and the poller runs but nothing shows up in the graphs.
If I go into cacti and entirely remove the device then re-add it the graphs then start working and all is good. This would be a great plan if I had just a few hosts but this cacti instance has ~1000 devices configured.
Does anyone have any idea on how I could go about fix the existing rra's? I am not getting any time errors or anything like that and the permissions are correct.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

You need to dump the data to xml and recreate the rra, as you change from 32 bit to 64 bit.cingletrak wrote: 6) copied over the rra's

Hi.
Thanks, I will do some digging and see if I can't convert them.
