Remove string values on output

Post by loglix »

Hello,

I am trying to use a template called IBM Blade template H to monitor a datacenter.
Unfortunately, the output can't be graphed because it contains string values in it. I would like to be able to remove those strings off on the input...
ex: 04/12/2013 04:49:33 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[...] TH[2] DS[...] SNMP: ... : ... , dsname: bladecent_fan2, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.2.3.2.0, value: 52% of maximum

Can anybody help please !

NB: I am using cacti0.8.8a and spine 0.8.8a.

Thanks in advance

In http://docs.cacti.net/wiki:documentation there are guides on how to build a data query which uses a REGEX to parse out the desired info. IMO, poor vendor implementation of the MIB.

Ok.
Since I would like to graph every single item in the template.
Can I add a query directly under each item ?

Yes.

the data query script file is what you need to modify, not the data query template.

Thank you again for responding !

Unfortunately, the author of this template did not include a data_query script file...
