Fatal error: Allowed memory size ...

Post by abg85 »

Hello,

I have just installed Cacti 0.8.8 from sources on a Gentoo Base System release 2.1 with PHP 5.4.8 and MySQL 5.1.67 .
Database cacti and cactiuser are created.
When going to http://mydomain.com/cacti , it "works" several seconds and I got the following error:
-----
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 130968 bytes) in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/cacti-0.8.8/lib/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 833
-----

I have tried to play with the memory_limit setting in php.ini but it does not resolve the problem just increase the time the error message appears and the amount of bytes printed.

Have you got an idea to fix this ?

Best regards, ABG.

uh Crap...

Just import the cacti.sql either through webmin/phpmyadmin or "mysql -u root -p -b cacti < /usr/share/cacti/cacti.sql" and then install the cacti. It worked for me.

I am really feeling ashamed of myself for wasting almost a day without importing sql. Simply I was googling for the solutions. crap..
Thats all
